I wanted to comment on this blog because I am in the janitorial business and we are green certified and what a difference these chemicals can make for everyone. Business can eliminate some sick days. At home you can eliminate the same things.

What a wonderful post!!! I am sharing with as many high school teens as I can. On the issue of plastics are forever, education is key to affecting the choices the future makes about our environment. Unfortunately, the policies that will affect the Green Ambassadors and their successors are being set by policymakers influenced more by lobbyists than the public.

It would be great to know that the Green Ambassador program teaches not only about sustainable practices, the science of climate change and the importance of environmental justice — but how to affect the greatest possible change through our political system.

The key is making it as easy as possible for “Green Ambassadors” to be created in communities. This is a great project.

I use a reusable glass bottle that costs a dollar when filled with juice. If you don't drop it, it will last for a lifetime and it's easy to clean. I refill it with pure water from a bottleless water cooler with reverse osmosis filters. The water is pure and taste great and there is only a smaal cost and no waste.
